CEO Louis King

Louis King has more than 20 years experience in education, youth development and workforce development. His current work focuses on stabilizing families by ensuring that parents earn the wages needed to adequately support their children.

King served in the U.S. Army for 10 years, achieving the rank of Major. He is married to Beverly and has three children: Aja, Kamaria and Lauryn.

COO Leroy West

Leroy West joined Summit Academy in December 2003. As Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, he manages all program operations, analysis and evaluation. Previously, he served for 10 years in leadership positions at East YMCA in St. Paul.

CFO Marc Carrier

Marc Carrier joined Summit in January 2005. His strong organizational skills, financial discipline and strategic planning experience are assets to the organization.

Carrier is active in local government, serving his third term on the City Council for the City of Waconia, serves on the Board of Directors for Metro Cities, and serves as the City liaison to School District 110.

CAO Miriam Williams

Miriam Williams became Chief Administrative Officer in August 2020. In this role she oversees the Northstar Innovation Center campus, enrollment, support services, placement, COE accreditation and more.

Prior to that Williams served as Director of Student Services for two years. She has 20-plus years of demonstrated success in Student Affairs, leadership and curriculum development, team management, cross-functional collaboration, strategy development, and budgeting.
